Sixty-thousand residents were endangered by a fearsome storm, threatening the west coasts, northern California, and southwest Oregon. These residents have suffered as a result of the recent severe winds and heavy rain that have made their way into various sections of California.  Several trees around the state toppled various power lines. An unexpected flash flood occurred on Friday night which was occurred by droughts and fierce wildfires. On Friday, Jan.6

California had about 10 inches of rain and throughout the weekend they will get an additional 3 to 6 inches of rain. San Francisco had its wettest 10-day period since 1871, according to local weather service. Some lives have also been killed by the storm over the effect it has already done. A 19-year-old woman died from a car crash into a utility pole on a partly flooded road. Another life that was lost was a child of the age of 1 or 2 from a redwood tree falling into their home. The damage in California isn’t over yet and they still have a lot to fix and overcome after all the storms California has had over the previous and maybe next few months.
