The WINC Welcome

Welcome to The WINC–West Intermediate’s Newspaper Club! I am Mrs. McDonald, the Newspaper Club Adviser. We are so excited to publish our first edition. WSIS has not had a school newspaper in many years; creating a virtual newspaper during the pandemic has been a challenging proposition. However, as expected, our Invaders rose to the challenge and have spent the last two months generating story ideas, conducting interviews on Google Meet, learning journalism fundamentals and operating a Web-based newspaper software program! 

The newspaper would not be possible without the dedication of the staff. I would like to thank each and every one of them for their tremendous effort and strong work ethic. We are happy to welcome new talent!
